So started audio webcast, its a series of webcasts on Whats New blog category which I blog here and here please refer blog when listen.

I blog a series of blogs on whats new where I tried to brief about whats new in sql server versions compare to earlier version till sql server 2008, this blog is continue to that for whats new in sql server 2008.

Microsoft announces that they will be releasing new product for every 3 years and here we got sql server 2008 r2- which suppose to be sql server 2010 but then found that its to Early to make a new product as sql server 2008  it self is every strong and made a big product so microsoft decided not to give new name but enhance the product. so they make sql server 2008 r2 this is new product and Microsoft confirm that it will be launch in May 2010.

Could be I may blog or edit this blog in future more about the whats new. for me sql server 2008 r2 is more enhance and improved sql server 2008 and the improvement is more on OLAP  side and i am OLTP guy.
